Natural Cures For Peptic Ulcers

Peptic ulcer, also known as ulcus pepticum or stomach ulcer is an ulcer of an area of the gastrointestinal tract. It may be the symptoms of another disease or condition. It will get worse if not treated.

Most peptic ulcers are caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Other causes of peptic ulcers are smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and stress. Actually, stress and spicy food does not cause peptic ulcers but they can make ulcers worse or keep them from healing.

The symptoms of peptic are vary and sometimes one may not have any symptoms at all. The most common symptoms are sudden severe burning pain in the stomach, loss of weight and appetite, worse stomach when it is empty, nausea or vomiting, black or tar-like stool, and unusual weakness, usually because of anemia.

Natural home remedies for peptic ulcers:

  1. Eat bananas everyday.
  2. Boiled 250gm of cabbage in 1liter of water until it reduced to half the amount. In a similar way boiled carrot, after it has cool, than mixed the cabbage and carrot juice, and drink twice a day.
  3. Drink lime juice everyday.
  4. Drink milk twice or thrice times a day.
  5. Take 2 to 3 teaspoons of honey everyday.
  6. Drink tea made from Fenugreek seeds.
  7. Take the powder of dry Indian gooseberry (Amla) and sugar one teaspoon three times a day.
  8. Drink raw goat milk.
  9. Take the mixture of drumstick paste and curd, 2 or 3 times a day.
Diet and other regimen:

Fried foods and spices, especially chilies, should be totally prohibited. Bland, easily-digestible foods should be the mainstay of the patient's diet. Milk should be freely taken, preferably at intervals of three to four hours during the day, because the pain of the ulcer occurs at times when the stomach is empty. Milk, wheat, and ghee should be taken in adequate quantities.

In addition to the diet prescribe above, the patient must be advised to keep himself free worry and stresses of life which are likely to exacerbate the ulcer pain. He must take sufficient rest and sleep for an hour or so during the day. His bowel must be ensured because constipation can only contribute to worsening of the condition. The best way to deal with constipation of patient suffering from gastric ulcers is either husk or fleaseed taken at bedtime or castor oil. No strong purgatives should be administered to such patients.

Thrombosed Hemorrhoids - All You Need to Know

Many people know about hemorrhoids and they know that these are not good as the problem of hemorrhoids makes the life very painful. There are many types of hemorrhoids about which many people are not aware. They know only one thing that hemorrhoids are very painful diseases where a patient deals with the formation of hemorrhoids and pain. One of the least talked about types of hemorrhoids is a thrombosed hemorrhoid. Thrombosed hemorrhoids are very bad and painful which no one wants to suffer with them. However, if you think you that you have them then you should look them at right away and at least go to the doctor for their treatment.

The first thing that you should know is that what thromboseds hemorrhoids are. These hemorrhoids are clotted inside the anus thus they are very painful. The actual meaning of thrombosed is on the inside. Generally these hemorrhoids form on the veins in your rectum which is present just under the skin. There are also external thrombosed hemorrhoids that can be easily seen and felt. If you are able to see them, then you will realize that they may be hard or soft in touch. Many times you will notice that the color of a thrombosed hemorrhoid is going to be blue which makes you sure that these are external thrombosed hemorrhoids. If you are still not sure about it then you should concern about them with your doctor.

The bad thing about these types of hemorrhoids is that they are extremely painful in comparison of all other types of hemorrhoids. But the good news about them is they do not require any kind of surgery in their treatment. You should try not to annoy or inflame these hemorrhoids by messing with them. Many times these types of hemorrhoids get treated just by only taking the warm baths. You can also use creams that are available for their treatment in the medical stores. According to the suggestion of most of the doctors, you should include more fiber to your diet in order to treat a thrombosed hemorrhoid.

However if above mentioned things do not work at all then the final thing to treat these types of hemorrhoids is to do the surgery. Surgery is the last option that is adopted by the doctors for their patient if all other things fail in order to treat these hemorrhoids. However you should not worry or get panic in these cases. Whenever you feel that you have these types of hemorrhoids, you should directly bring it up with your doctor.
