Why Living Foods Offer Protection Against Socialized Medicine

Once upon a time, I worked for a company that offered its employees 3 levels of health insurance to choose from:

The first level, an HMO, offered total and complete 100% health care cost coverage, for even small things. It covered up to a million (or 2) bucks a year (or something like that) for major catastrophic illness. In other words, no co-pay for office visits - ever. But you had to do EVERYTHING within the HMO facility - there were no choices about how things were done or treatment options available.

The second health care payment plan offered almost the same benefit amount for catastrophic care costs, with only a small co-pay for office visits. There was a little more freedom to choose certain health care options, should the need arise, but basically the number of providers and choices were pretty limited. The office of a doctor who participated in this plan was in my home town though.

The 3rd option was very flexible with regards to choice of doctors, where I could get things done such as blood work and x-rays and MRIs (should any ever be needed). The co-pay was highest per office visit (and even more when it came to office visits for specialists).

That first year I chose the HMO. Why not? It's all inclusive ... all paid for ... right?

Bad choice.

That first year both my wife and I had to visit a doctor several time for the flu and such. I waited on average for 2-3 hours in a very crowded lobby just to see a doctor. I also had to drive about 40 minutes away just to reach this facility.

When I finally got to see a primary care physician (NEVER the same one), he or she never spent more than 5 minutes with me. They always instructed the ever present assistant to write out what drug prescription they were prescribing, and then have me take it to the in-house pharmacy, and then I was sent out the door so the cattle line could continue.

The next year I switched to the second option.

That experience turned out to be largely the same, although the waiting time was a bit less. The doctor's office was ALWAYS very crowded though. The biggest differences this time around were that I noticed while I did have to reach into my wallet to pay a few bucks for the co-pay, most of the other folks in the herd didn't.

They got to use cards issued by the good ole' state of NJ to cover their co-pay (which I assumed NJ taxpayers such as myself were paying for). (Ahhhh ... ain't democracy grand)?

The other difference was that I had to drive to either of the 2 pharmacies in town to have a prescription filled out if I had one made out for me. (Author's note: Please keep in mind that, at this time, I knew NOTHING about a natural approach to health).

The 3rd year I switched to the highest "out-of-pocket" cost option. If me, my wife or one of our kids had to go to the doctor's, I had to fork over a higher co-payment. But I only had to wait a little while in an office.

I also had a wide number of physicians to choose from. We had many more options. We had much more FREEDOM and flexibility.

Guess which kind of plan we've been with now for years? Do I need to say it was option #3?

So what does this have to do with "living foods?" Simple.

Imagine being stuck in a socialist health care system. Imagine being locked inside a government created and controlled cattle line - where bureaucrats get to make even more critical choices on your behalf.

Imagine ... Obamacare!

(Just to be fair here, you could insert the name of any Democrat or Republican politician who might be President someday and prescribe such nonsense).

Okay. Get the picture? Would you want to be forced to be stuck inside such a system (should one be enacted)?

Of course not! So what is the BEST thing you can do for yourself?

Stay healthy. Eat right. Live right. Do right. Help keep your body out of that madness by feeding it raw and living foods. Work for your health by eating living foods and reap the rewards of good health.

It's your best line of personal protection (self-defense) when it comes to the government's schemes of socialized medicine.

Yes, if passed, they'll still TAX the yin-yang out of you and forcibly confiscate your hard-earned wealth .. so health care will be FREE for everyone. But at least you won't have to contend with the madness of the cattle line ... hopefully, not very much anyhow.

Important Things You Need to Know Before You Buy Fish Oil

Fish oil has many health benefits because it contains omega 3 fatty acids; however getting these benefits depends on the quality of the brand you buy. To be honest with you, before I started researching on nutritional supplements, I never knew that there was any difference among the different brands. What I used to do whenever I needed to buy fish oil was go to any drug store and pick any one that had attractive packaging. I never bothered to read the labels; to me, all fishoil were the same. What a big mistake!

Well you shouldn't blame me much because I wasn't an informed consumer then - not that ignorance is an excuse in law! I don't want you to make the same mistake I was making in the past; that is why I am writing this to tell you what you need to know before you buy fish oil.

Thanks to my research I now use a good quality brand of omega3 fishoil supplement. Did you know that fish contain toxic substances such as mercury? Yes that is why doctors advise that we should not eat a lot of certain types of fish. The worst culprits are big predator fish such as swordfish, shark and catfish, it is not that others do not contain impurities, they do but some contain more than the others. They get this contaminants from the polluted oceans.

This is why it is very important that you buy fish oil supplements that are purified well through molecular distillation. This is is the only proven process that ensures that the contaminants are removed from the oil making it fit for your consumption. If you buy any one that is not purified through this method, you would be gambling with your health.

You should also look for those that contain high amounts of omega3 fatty acids, remember you do not buy fish oil just for the oil, you are buying it because of the omega3 it contains. Omega 3 is among the essential fatty acids; this means that it is an important nutrient our body needs but can not manufacture on its own. So we get it through foods or supplements. The omega-3 should be at least half the content of the oil ( 500mg in 1000mg of oil)

The three components of omega-3 fatty acid are DHA (Docosapentaenoic acid), EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DPA (Docosapentaenoic acid). Much research hasn't been done on DPA to find out its benefits, but between the other two, DHA is more important, first, it makes up 30% of our brain. Its deficiency has been linked to brain related conditions such as alzheimer's and depression.

Secondly, our body can convert it to EPA when the need arises but it can not convert EPA to DHA. Therefore make sure that you buy fish oil supplement that contains about twice the amounts of DHA than EPA. The recommended quantity of DHA is 250mg per 1000mg of fishoil capsule.

Now that you are well informed, I believe you will henceforth make the right buying decisions. So what next? Well, you can surf the net to find out where to buy fish oil supplements or you can visit my website for more information on the benefits of fishoil and the brand I personally take.

How to Get Cut Muscles - Get Shredded the Fast Way

Today's society is one that has recently been drawn into a heath craze. Whether it be that people want to eat healthier, help protect the environment by trying to adopt green methods of waste disposal, or wanting to maintain a toned and chiseled body. Everyone has vowed to do their part.

Having a fit and buff body is high on the list for many of us, especially those who are confined to a cubicle day after day with no real opportunity to take part in physical activity. Maintaining a balanced and healthy diet is critical if you are looking to lose weight and bulk up.

There are many myths associated with losing weight and gaining muscle. Quite simply, the more you eat the more you will gain and the more of this weight can be turned into muscle. This is partially true. If you do eat huge portions at every meal day after day there is no doubt that you will gain the pounds that you seek. But ARE these actually the pounds that you were hoping for? An abundance of calories, especially if they are the wrong calories, will ultimately obtain you a nice rounds beer belly or flabby thighs. So where is this muscle that you wanted? There is more to fitness than just eating, you friends. You must have a persistent and willful frame of mind. Stick to your exercise program and don't stray.

Cardio is a necessary part of an exercise program. This will definitely help to burn calories quickly. These calories also help to develop muscle mass, but don't fret about losing them. There are other methods that will gain those monster pecs and rock hard thighs that you desperately dream about.

When you are targeting a certain muscle group, do a set and then alternate to a different muscle group - preferably one that directly opposes the original muscles you worked. This will alternately rest these groups and work them at the same time. This method helps to cut down on the amount of time actually spent working out as well as burns calories faster.

Most importantly, always allow ample time to rest between sets as well as between workouts. Take a day off here and there; don't over do it.
