Cardio is a necessary part of an exercise program. This will definitely help to burn calories quickly. These calories also help to develop muscle mass, but don’t fret about losing them. There are other methods that will gain those monster pecs and rock hard thighs that you desperately dream about.

When you are targeting a certain muscle group, do a set and then alternate to a different muscle group – preferably one that directly opposes the original muscles you worked. This will alternately rest these groups and work them at the same time. This method helps to cut down on the amount of time actually spent working out as well as burns calories faster.

Most importantly, always allow ample time to rest between sets as well as between workouts. Take a day off here and there; don’t over do it.
