Prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications provide temporary relief from stiff and aching joints, but come with significant side effects. Find out the natural treatment for stiff aching joints using omega 3's in this article.

1) A lot of people suffer from stiff and aching joints. They are most commonly seen in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis patients, while other people might also suffer from it when they have a poor nutrition or an unbalanced diet.

2) The problem of stiff and aching joints is on the rise due to the fact that the composition of Omega 6 fatty acids is getting too high in the average American diet, while the consumption of omega-3 fatty acids is highly deficient.

Fish is the best omega-3 source, while meat is rich in omega 6 fatty acids. The average American does not consume an adequate amount of fish, which leads to omega-3 deficiency.

3) A deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids in the diet is one of the primary causes of osteoarthritis. On the other hand, research has shown that an inclusion of omega-3 supplementation in diet relieves from the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.

Research shows a lower level of coronary heart disease in those parts of the world where fish is consumed as a part of their primary diet.

4) Over-the-counter painkillers suffer from various side effects. Some of them are -

- Ulcers in the stomach

It is much preferable to rely on natural treatment for the cure of stiff and aching joints.

5) Inflammation lies at the heart of stiff joints. It is the prime cause of the pain and cartilage degeneration. Chronic inflammation is also a major contributor in cancer and heart disease.

Omega-3 fatty acids are natural anti-inflammatory, while omega 6 facts lead to greater inflammation. In this way, omega-3 facts play a very beneficial role in providing relief from stiff and aching joints by reducing inflammation naturally.

An inclusion of a greater amount of Omega 3 fatty acids in the diet will keep dreaded diseases such as cancer and heart disease at bay. It shall also help in prevention from diseases associated with stiff and aching joints such as osteoporosis at later stages in life.

Can Spinal Injections Stop My Back Pain?

The thought of someone sticking a needle in my spine does not thrill me. Especially when the needle looks instead of a human. But if a spinal injections can stop the back pain and let me return to a normal life I am ready to try it. If this sounds like you and you are desperately seeking a way to stop your back from aching then read on.

So exactly what is a spinal injection? Basically a needle is inserted into the epidural space surrounding your vertebra and a solution of anti-inflammation medication and or steroid is injected into the space. The idea is to block the pain, give you some relief and give your doctor a better idea of what the problem is. Although not as invasive as surgery there are risks and you should discuss these with your doctor.

In my case I decided not to opt for the injections. I based this on a three reasons.

1. I don't like needles! Seriously two of my friend had injections. For one the pain returned two days after the shot was given and for another he was pain free for six months, but eventually had to get another shot.
2. In my specific case surgery was the best option.
3. The shot may bring relief for awhile, but it doesn't cure what ever is causing the pain.

This being said the procedure is effective in temporarily stopping the pain. Once this is done then the next thing is to begin physical therapy or an exercise system to take care of the underlying condition. One of the top rated programs is called the Lose The Back Pain System developed by therapists and doctors of the Healthy back Institute. This program has helped thousands by strengthening muscles and eliminating muscles imbalance.

As someone who has suffered with a bad back and who has endured months of physical therapy and an operation, I can tell you there are solutions for your discomfort. To help myself and others cope with an aching back I have created a blog. For more information on how to cure your bad back and get relief from the pain visit http://www.achingbackblues.blogspot.com on this site your find links to free info, reports and videos. I hope this helps you with your aching back.

Teeth Whitening - How Long Does Teeth Whitening Effect Last?

Due to over consumption of stimulants like tea, coffee or tobacco products your teeth start discoloring. Your teeth will discolor sooner or later unless you take extra care to maintain the whiteness. Quitting the above mentioned food items can help you delay the discoloring process but teeth whitening will be required once it has already got a yellowish shade.

It is not only a sign of bad eating habits but also of poor dental care. It leaves a bad impression upon the person you interact with. Worsening the situation is bad breath that results from poor oral hygiene. If you are suffering from any of these symptoms you need to go for teeth whitening before it is too late. You can flaunt the beautiful smile that remains hidden because of your discolored teeth.

It will not be out of context to mention that dental bleaching is a procedure that requires regular touch ups. Even if you opt for in-office bleaching you may have to go for touch up after the recommended period. It depends upon the procedure that you have undergone. Normally the effect of bleaching with trays and gel last for about six months. On the other hand effect of laser treatment may last for years.

In such a situation it is wise to go for the most effective method in terms of cost as well as whiteness. Home teeth bleaching kits are highly effective as well as economical even if you have to repeat it every six months. Moreover you can use it at home without any expert medical supervision.

Attention Deficit Treatment For Adults

It is important to understand what ADD is before moving on to the treatment of the same. Attention Deficit disorder aka ADD is a condition where it is very difficult for the individual to pay attention and exhibit impulsive behaviour in various situations. People with the disorder normally find it difficult to deal with different tasks given to them; they simply cannot focus or concentrate on what they are doing and feel constant restlessness. Attention deficit disorder can obstruct your normal life and affect you family and social relations to a large extent.

Symptoms of ADD

The disorder is most commonly found in children and even the adults affected by this disorder because the disorder is rather difficult to diagnose and the symptoms are combined with many physical and psychological alterations. The attention deficit symptoms carry forward from childhood to the adult phase and the most common symptoms are hyperactive, inattentive, anxiety, learning disability, difficulty in speaking and hearing and also exhibits combined symptoms of other emotional behaviour disorders such as obsessive-compulsive syndrome and conduct disorder are prevalent in individuals with the disorder.

Physiological changes in ADD individuals

Obesity, bedwetting and low self esteem are some of the physical changes that are associated with children suffering from the disorder, which again is result of various psychological conditions and manifestations.

Treatment for Attention Deficit Disorder

We need to face the fact that treatment for this disorder in adults does not promise a cure though the effect of the symptoms can be controlled with medication or behavioral therapy and sometimes both methods are used to treat the individual. Studies reveal that the symptoms persistently exist from childhood and become a chronic condition. Treating ADD patients is rather a difficult task, as the cause of the disorder is not yet ascertained and therefore diagnosing the problem gets delayed and so does the treatment. The disorder is more prevalent in men than in women. Some researchers feel drug abuse anti-social behaviors are related to Attention Deficit Disorder.

Are there any games for the disorder?

As we have learnt that the disorder itself does not have a permanent solution and to an extent the symptoms can be treated, which can bring some respite to people suffering from this disorder. You can access the games on lumosity.com that are scientifically devised by neurologists and they can certainly make a difference to your condition for example, playing the Koi game can revive you focussing skills.
